Client
Successes

Dear Robin,
PINCH ME! I am writing this from a
place of pure JOY, renewed EXCITEMENT!!! (can you
hear me pinging?) and best of all: HOPE--all things
I realize now I was convinced were for others (not
me), to experience again. What you did for me here,
was nothing short of breakthrough and remarkable!
Thank you, thank you.
You are truly gifted at what you do
Robin. I don't know how you do it-- it feels magical
to me. I think what I appreciate most about you, is
your spark! and how you model what you ask of your
clients in everyday life...you constantly ask the
hard questions, you listen to your own voice even
when it's difficult (and have the confidence to be
vulnerable about it out loud)... it's so obvious with
a first conversation, that you are committed to living
your fullest life, now. This has been a quiet and
wonderful source of inspiration for me from the first
moment I met you.
You have a rare finger on the pulse
of something hugely important, and that is this: you
know how to help people to find, recognize, nourish
their gifts, potential, desires-- and inspire them
to it in the here & now--one moment at a time.
You do it with professionalism, compassion, grace
and spark. Brushing up against you means irrevocably
being colored by your vibrant spirit and by association,
any client lucky enough to work with you, can not
help but shift into something deeper, fuller and more
meaningful for themselves.
I'm in awe of your gifts as a life
coach.
What I learned that surprised me is:
- that I don't have to delve deep into the past
to make significant changes in my every day life
now, today
- that I've discovered that growing doesn't have
to be painful (it can be playful, uplifting and
deeply enriching in spite of the baggage), and that
it can be done in steps. Therapy has taught me that
any growth work, is not necessarily a painful and
long-haul thing (which can be daunting, and feel
like you're never getting anywhere). In fact, this
is how I've felt for a long time, until I had my
first coaching session with you.
- how immediate and lasting the changes could be,
after each session with you, and a simple focus/guided
purpose. Even though it was painful at times to
summon up the courage to be honest, that was always
the hardest part. The rest was always surprisingly
positive and easy.
- it's ok to attempt something new, without the
usual self-imposed pressure to be perfect (i.e.
committing to eating one healthy fruit in a week,
vs beating myself up for not having done 2 days
in a row, is worth gold!)
- Until I met you, I had this stereo-type image
of life coaches. I thought it was about a vague,
wishy-washy-woo-woo new age field. My experience
with you threw all preconceptions out the window.
More than that--it gave me a wonderful jolt! Wow!
There is such power in focusing on the here and
now, when a person is ready for it, and it is an
entirely different skill set from the conventional
therapy we all have come to know and expect. You
help break through the perceived barriers.

Rockin’ Robin!
I’m not sure where to begin. And more importantly,
I’m not sure how I ever made it through 31 years
without your help! I’m guessing that “Thank
You” is the best starting point. What you do
is remarkable and very unique to your person! So,
thanks to you and your gift!
The things that I have learned about myself, the world
around me and how to deal with it on so many levels,
over the last six months, still amaze me. Before I
started working with you, I felt like I was spinning
my wheels - basically treading water. This was frustrating
to me because I am extremely ambitious, full of ideas
and I had a sense that I was capable of so much more.
However, it seemed that every time I put one foot
forward to go after my dreams, I tripped myself.
You honestly helped me sort out and remove my own
personal obstacles which prohibited me from moving
forward and living the life that I only saw from a
distance. Since I’ve worked with you, I’ve
noticed significant changes in who I am, how I approach
life, how I can actually achieve things that I want
in my life, how things are not out of my reach and,
more importantly, that I’m no longer viewing
the life I want, I am living it! The possibilities
are endless! Knowing this and knowing how to achieve
what I want out of life, creates the most invigorating
and inspiring feeling!
I think that one of the most important things to know,
is that trusting myself and having faith in myself
and my abilities is paramount. Also, the gift of intuition
is a powerful thing. It should be tuned into and listened
to. I’ve found that truly loving myself radiates
and attracts the most amazing attention—I feel
like I am famous the way people look at me! I have
had fewer “bad” days and have been experiencing
life’s journey with my eyes wide open for the
first time! I have learned that patience is a key
tool to achieving my ideal life. I have learned that
really living in the moment is also imperative. I
have learned to separate future plans, wants and desires,
with living for the now and applying my skills and
knowledge to achieve my future dreams.
Your gift as a Life Coach is amazing! I was fortunate
to have met you and to have worked with you. I have
learned an infinite amount about myself and discovered
things that I didn’t even think were possible
for me.
Thank you again for sharing such an amazing gift!

Hello Beautiful,
Just wanted to say thanks for meeting up, it was wonderful
as always to see you. You have such a light and vibrance
that shines out into the world, and I miss seeing
that every week during yoga. I noticed recently that
I have the same pattern about relationship you mentioned
in your newsletter, I guess a lot of us do. I used
to always try and "fix" my "problem pattern" - which
hasn't worked so far, and now [ because of all the
wonderful experiences in my life- like meeting you
and working with you] I am trying to relax, have awareness,
spend time on me, and be open minded about my journey.
I just wanted to let you know how much knowing you
has affected my life, and how much gratitude I have
for that. From breathing, intuition, diet, yoga, and
insight, just to name a few, you have opened many
parts of this amazing world in my life and I wanted
to remind you how much that has meant to me. During
our women's group you gave me a card; the quote reads
"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every
experience in which you really stop to look fear in
the face . . . do the thing you think you cannot do."
That quote, which I look at daily, could really define
my focus in life for the past year. I have had a wonderful
and exciting year. A few months ago I started training
for my triathlon, taking swimming lessons, Spanish
classes, spending time with friends, teaching, and
looking forward to moving to Costa Rica. I am now
filled with this excitement for life, and true happiness,
that I had never felt before without a boyfriend in
the picture. It was as if I were in love with life.
What a gift that was to me. Thank you for being a
part of my life.
Much love and gratitude,
Kim

Dear Coach Robin,
Thank you so much for your excellent
and positive help as my personal, individualized,
integrative life coach and real estate coach. You
helped me in the areas that I needed to work on without
making it seem like work; you made it fun. Thanks
for seeing me as a unique individual and giving me
tools and ideas to mess around with so that I ended
up reaching my goal. I used to have a goal of selling
a million dollar home, amongst other income goals.
The million dollar home goal began in 2001 and never
happened. When I started working with you, I shifted
my goals to working with people I enjoy, and uncovered
the aspects of the real estate business that most
inspire me. And as it turned out I ended up selling
a home for $1,581,000 to a very nice, gracious, honest
couple. It was fun! Thanks for your help.

Dear Robin,
I want to thank you for all of the
help you’ve been giving me. I’ve seen
amazing changes in myself, largely in part to the
coaching we’ve been doing over the past several
months.
Before we first started working together,
I assumed we’d simply focus on healthy foods
and how I can incorporate them into my diet. I was
surprised when we started talking about my whole life
including my business and relationships and how they
can relate to my health and diet. I had never realized
how hard I can be on myself, and I appreciate the
way you’ve shown me I can be nicer to “me”
and what wonderful results that simple act alone can
produce.
When we were first working together,
I wasn’t able to finish some of the homework
assignments, due to time and perhaps some resistance.
I felt like I was failing and I’d never become
the whole, health conscious person I aspired to be.
(You’re my role model, by the way.) You’ve
helped me to see that it’s all a process and
that I can enjoy and accept the journey completely.
You’re always there to help me celebrate my
successes. That celebration time feels so great to
me! I also love that you continually encourage me
on to more success. I’m extremely pleased with
my progress and am even more excited about the major
milestones I’ve recently achieved such as having
more energy, being in tune with my body and what it
needs, being more aware of the foods I’m eating,
and overcoming some significant digestion problems.
I always look forward to our sessions,
feeling like you’re a wise friend who constantly
makes me feel better about myself. It has been so
helpful to me to have you to answer my questions without
ever making me feel stupid. One thing that I find
fascinating is that even though I may not know what
I want to focus on during a session, once we start
talking, your intuition kicks in and you pick up on
subtle things I say, and in the end we will have powerfully
covered what is really going on for me.
Again, thank you so much for helping
me be the kind of person I want to be!

“I’ve noticed I have
less reaction and more awareness. I’ve learned
how to simplify my life, be really bold about who
I am and who I want to be and to recognize my creative
abilities. I learned how to cook meals more creatively
and simply, and how to support myself nutritionally
during times of stress.
I appreciate how intently you listened to me, your
nonjudgmental guidance and compassion and your ability
to help me come up with my own answers. When I left
your sessions, I really felt empowered and felt I
would succeed, and I did! I have achieved more than
I could have imagined. Your belief in my success has
made all the difference. Your enthusiasm is so contagious!
You also helped me with perspective. Often I would
begin a session confused or frustrated with a certain
challenge, and quickly you had me looking at it in
a brand new way. I ALWAYS left your sessions incredibly
inspired and crystal clear on what steps I needed
to take. From being overwhelmed to being focused and
sure of myself!
One thing I now know is that being healthy is not
complicated and doesn’t have to be restrictive
or boring. I have so much fun with my food now! I
have so much fun in my life!”

“In the beginning
I was afraid that I would feel like I was sacrificing
my favorite foods (mostly junk) to eat well. Once
I started eating healthier, I didn’t crave the
junk food as much. It was challenging, but it felt
so good to eat “clean” (more vegetables,
whole grains, less packaged foods), and I discovered
that it was easier to find other ways to tackle my
cravings. When I did have cravings, Robin helped me
to understand why my body might want these foods and
offered alternatives that reduced or eliminated my
cravings. I have so much more energy and feel happier
in every way. I’ve struggled with fatigue for
many years. When I eat well, I don’t feel the
tiredness that I was so used to feeling. It was really
life-altering.
Robin was accepting, supportive, and very knowledgeable.
She helped me to better myself in so many ways, and
her energy is contagious! She is a natural at what
she does. She is encouraging but leaves the final
decisions to me. She guided me to explore aspects
of my life rather than tell me what I should do or
how to change. She is a natural teacher and very encouraging.”

“I
have experienced so much personal growth in the past
six months it is hard to comprehend. I feel like I
have spring cleaned myself. I am not a different person,
I am just more me.
I didn’t particularly start off in a bad place.
I felt okay about myself — pretty good job,
mediocre relationship, no major health problems —
a few recurring minor problems but certainly nothing
significant. I didn’t really think that I needed
to alter much about my diet or lifestyle. I felt that
I ate pretty healthy; my gym membership was about
to start. I knew that I would get out of the relationship
sooner or later; it was just a matter or time. Much
of my incentive to start the sessions was as a favor
to Robin who needed her first client.
I started off with all the won’ts — I
won’t give up cheese, I won’t give up
alcohol, I won’t give up meat. I was convinced
that it was about deprivation. I was skeptical. Little
did I know that six months later that I would feel
GREAT about myself, I would be in the best relationship
of my life, all of my minor health problems would
have cleared up, I would feel more fit than in the
last 12 years, and when I walked down the street I
would think, “I am strong, I am invincible,
I am woman!”
I had become used to periodic lethargy after having
mono at 16. Literally every month I had a sore throat
and felt rundown. Now I haven’t had a sore throat
in five months (and counting). I used to get recurring
yeast infections — I haven’t had one in
six months (and counting). I used to be tired all
the time — I have more energy than I ever thought
possible. I used to get frequent canker sores —
I can’t remember the last time I had one.
I have chosen to eat many new foods, yet I don’t
feel like I’ve sacrificed anything, rather gained
a new and different appreciation for what I eat. I’ve
learned that absolutely everything we put into our
bodies has a direct impact on how we are, and who
we are.
Though I’ve lost weight as an indirect outcome
of the work I did with Robin, I know that looking
at my body and smiling has more to do with how I feel
than how I look. I feel great!
Action feels so much better than inaction. Really,
just do it!”

“Let me just begin by saying
that I did not get out of this what I expected but
was pleasantly surprised. When I decided to start
seeing a Health and Life coach, my goal was to lose
weight. Being a dancer, I thought this would be a
fine opportunity to obtain the anorexic-looking body
I had always admired in my peers. Luckily, Robin had
a different perspective. Rather than nurturing an
eating disorder, she gently helped me learn to appreciate
my body and all that it does for me, instead of exercising
self-defeating behaviors. Indeed there is something
very liberating about looking in the mirror, and allowing
myself to be happy with what I see.
Now that I am spending less energy finding new and
creative ways to look like a movie star, I am able
to focus on better ways to nurture myself. This was
another challenge that Robin and I took on. Having
never cooked much before, I was a little intimidated
by the idea of actually preparing a meal (What, no
more TV dinners?). Thanks to a lot of help and information
from Robin, in addition to her fabulous cooking classes,
I am now much better versed in the culinary arts than
when I began. I was also unsure of how to effectively
shop and cook for one person. Robin suggested some
creative, yet simple ways to live and eat well on
a budget. I am now able to sit down each week and
plan a menu that I am able to not only shop for, but
also prepare without too many culinary catastrophes.
I feel more capable, as well as more organized.
This feeling of better organization extends to other
regions of my life, as Robin and I were able to tackle
some other problem areas. I found that being healthy
is not limited to the kitchen but should touch every
facet of one’s existence. Robin’s approach
throughout this process was very unique. Always supportive,
she was never judgmental or superior. She always celebrated
my victories with me rather than harping on any setbacks
I experienced. I also felt that this was truly a team
effort, which now gives me confidence in my ability
to really care for myself in a way I didn’t
know I could before.
So thank you Robin! You are a teacher as well as a
friend, and you have inspired me in more ways than
you know!”

“I have been physically fit and involved in
athletics all of my life. At 37 I was looking for
a way to enhance my performance in competitive cycling
and triathlon. I felt that although I was not
overweight, I could fine tune my diet so that I could
be leaner, which would enable me to achieve my fitness
goals with ease.
My meals were boring, and I was tired of chicken
and turkey as sources of protein.
As a “Health/Life Coach” Robin elevated
my awareness of food and how it affected my moods,
training, sleep patterns, emotions and, ultimately,
relationships with other people.
I chuckle now because the physical aspects of my goals
were simple. My body fat dropped to 8%, and I lost
13 pounds. I accomplished all that I set out to in
my training and racing.
What was fascinating was that I had been struggling
with being connected to my spiritual source. Through
food and lively conversation, Robin created a
safe environment for me to explore this and enabled
me to reach out and connect at a deeper level
with my spirituality. Simple meditation, positive
affirmations and yoga moved me to a more grounded
state of mind. This is what life is really
about. The shift that Robin helped me experience was
not my initial intention, but it will have eternal
value for me.
Thanks to Robin I now can walk through Whole
Foods (health food store) and understand what
all those strange veggies and grains are. I have
the ability to prepare light, balanced and
appetizing meals.
You are ready to engage Robin as a Health/Life Coach
if you can embrace change and if you desire more
joy.”
